Why didn't they make a wish like this in Dragon Ball?

If it were impossible to defeat that guy Frieza, and if they had the chance to make a wish with the Dragon Balls, wouldn't it have been over if they had said to Porunga on Planet Namek, "Please send this villain Frieza into the atmosphere of a gas giant (any of the four giant planets)"?
Whether he dies or not in a place filled with gas or ice, if they had said that and sent him away, it would have been a great move. It might seem a bit cowardly, but you could say they dealt with the enemy very cleverly...
