Is this person named Myung-jin someone great?

There is so much commotion about memorializing them.
They don't seem as famous as Venerable Hyemin,
and it doesn't look like they've achieved anything particularly great.
It's quite confusing how people are forcing this rote memorialization,
as if a great elder from South Korea has passed away.
