Former 4-star General Kim Byung-joo Responds to Han Dong-hoon's Demand for Immediate Investigation of Explosion Site

Rep. Kim Byung-joo refuted Rep. Han's claim with somewhat harsh language, stating, "Mixing combat readiness with accident scene forensics
is like telling your subordinates to march toward death," and adding, "Please, if you don't know, just shut your mouth."
"If the enemy provokes, our military responds immediately, whether it is a holiday or the middle of the night. Even at this very moment, the alert status at the front lines is being maintained without any gaps," he said,
pointing out that "however, entering an accident scene for forensics is a different matter."
He explained that it is a path where one must clear a way while ensuring safety in ground where additional landmines might be buried.
"In the past, when other landmines exploded, it happened on our usual search routes, so we could be deployed immediately and act quickly. In this case, however, it is said to be an area where a new route is being established," he stated.
"Because the risk is much higher, we are approaching cautiously, and we are working together with the UN Command at the same time."
