‌Savinho was bought for 85m Euros, which is about 10-20m more than his actual value.
This is part of a Marmoush package deal; by making Marmoush's price much lower, they are trying to significantly reduce the sell-on fee that City has to pay to Frankfurt.
The Marmoush deal will probably surface in a few days.
The market has been going crazy this season, so even the cheapest usable wingers cost over 50m.
Savinho hasn't shown much yet, but
once the season starts, we're in a position where we need a left winger and a right winger.
He is a much-needed resource until Kudus recovers,
and since he is young, even if he flops after a few years, we can still recoup some transfer fee.
So I think buying him while we can is not a bad move.
Anyway, Brentford is a scary team, so I'm curious to see how the opening match goes.
