Brief Review of "Rain of Light" (From a Cinematography and Sound Perspective)

The cinematography and editing in the beginning of the movie are a complete mess.
It's not even an action scene, but
the camera shakes so much that it's exhausting.
In contrast, the latter half is far too stable.
As expected of a warehouse-style film,
it's glaringly obvious that they didn't spend money on sound mixing engineering.
The dialogue sounds muffled and muddy, like a Korean movie from the 2000s,
and there's a constant low-frequency humming.
Since this is a theater I visit often, it feels significantly inferior to other films.
Don't expect much in terms of a soundtrack either.
It feels like you're just watching the actors deliver lines raw on set.
I couldn't help but chuckle at the scene where they mention the movie Rashomon.
I thought to myself, "An older critic would probably love this." lol
I can't tell if this is a commercial film
or a project assignment for a film directing major. haha
Anyway, I managed to stay until the end thanks to the acting of the lead and supporting actors.
The first hour was truly difficult to sit through.
Compared to this,
"Mox Box" and "Amazon Hwalmyeongsu" are absolute masterpieces.
