A true story about a transfer student in 9th grade and reflections on Busan

In my third year of middle school, I was the class president and the student council president. I was a favorite of my teachers and a very promising student. I even went to a school in another country to give a speech representing Busan. This means I was a student with great dreams and hopes.
However, a new student transferred into our class. That student was bullied a lot. Then one day, they took the transfer student to a playground. The kids in the class decided to all beat that student up.
But I didn't hit him. Someone said to me, "Why aren't you hitting him?" "Are you not hitting him just because you're the student council president?" But actually, prepared to become an outcast, I said, "That person has done nothing wrong to me," so I felt I shouldn't hit him.
In fact, I almost became an outcast at the end of the semester, but I still didn't bully that student.
So, as a classmate, one would say this person doesn't feel good about someone being bullied and doesn't use force against someone who has done nothing wrong, right?
Looking at his school days, he was a righteous kid who didn't get swept up by what others said.
Yet, they say he is a key suspect who caused one of the most important incidents in the nation in Busan?
This is why, when he was young, teachers used to say... "He's not that kind of kid."
There must have been an incident involving a police officer. Surely, a kid with those kinds of thoughts would think,
"Huh? Is that how police officers usually act? Fine. I don't care if I never come out of prison, I'm going to reveal this to the whole world."
A truly promising kid ended up having that kind of mindset. It is a massive disaster.
