I'm thinking of getting a prescription for hair loss medication via telemedicine

If it's my first time getting a prescription for hair loss medication, would it be better to definitely go to a clinic and show them my scalp?
I downloaded a telemedicine app, and it shows pediatricians or internal medicine doctors prescribing hair loss medication..
I'm feeling a bit uneasy, wondering if they just prescribe anything like Finasteride or Dutasteride without really knowing my symptoms..
I don't even know what I should be taking myself.
