Choo Mi-ae might even cross over to the People Power Party

Gyeonggi Province's finances are better than Seoul's,
but due to continuous media manipulation and welfare budget cuts,
she is handing Gyeonggi Province over entirely to the PPP.
This move is incomprehensible for a Democratic Party presidential contender,
but it falls within the realm of understanding for a future PPP presidential contender.
Choo Mi-ae's calculation might be that if Lee Jae-myung fails,
the PPP will have no presidential candidate.
In that case, she might be thinking it's worth a shot
to jump into the lion's den, as she once mentioned.
Of course, this is
the best-case scenario from Choo Mi-ae's perspective,
and it wouldn't be bad for her even if the PPP retains power.
Her son is currently unable to return from Turkey;
from the PPP's perspective, since he would be a key figure in their power retention,
it's an issue they might be willing to overlook.
The variable is whether the PPP lawmakers
want to be swayed by the Han Dong-hoon cabinet or not...
