Isn't Gen.G the problem themselves, rather than the patches?

Whenever I watch Gen.G at Worlds, it seems to be an in-game issue rather than because of the patches. To begin with, Gen.G isn't the type of team that is limited by their pick pool lol. It feels like there are uniquely many people blaming Matthew or the patches this year.
