I'm planning a trip to Sapporo during the off-season; please give me some recommendations~

‌I'm planning to go in early November and am currently studying hard, but I haven't booked accommodation yet.
Most people recommend staying in Sapporo city for several consecutive nights since you can take public transportation for tours to Biei, Jozankei Onsen, or Otaru.
I was wondering if you have any recommended accommodations, and since I'm planning a day trip to an onsen, is a day trip to Jozankei Onsen a good idea? I'd love to hear if there are any places you recommend~
