Is the Resident Evil series supposed to be like this??

‌I heard Resident Evil RE2 was a masterpiece, so I bought it when it was on sale last time,
but between the puzzles and the gameplay itself, it seems really difficult.
I thought it would feel something like The Last of Us, but I just keep going in circles... it's not really clicking for me. ㅠ
