My mother was transferred from the ICU to a hospital today ㅠ
Originally, because my mother is in a coma, she needs to go to a long-term care hospital.
The long-term care team at the university hospital provided a consultation, and
since my mother was born in '62, she is relatively young,
they suggested connecting us with a hospital-level facility
because they thought it would be difficult for the guardian
to accept her going straight to a long-term care hospital.
Given my mother's condition, they talk a lot about withdrawing life-sustaining treatment,
but all the doctors
are saying they can't even imagine stopping life-sustaining treatment, right..?
They ask things like, "How would you accept this situation.."
Whether it's professors, nurses, or general staff,
or anyone at the hospital she was transferred to today,
everyone always expresses their sympathy first.
I feel so grateful, yet so sad.. ㅠㅠ
