Is adult ADHD a serious condition?

My wife has been insisting for a long time that we should get treated for ADHD.
Recently, she was watching related content on YouTube,
and I told her to turn it off because I didn't want to hear it.
To be honest, I don't think either my wife or I have any major issues,
but it's annoying to hear her constantly obsessing over it and saying we need treatment or whatever.
Is this some kind of meme in female-dominated communities?
