A YouTuber who redefined the meaning of BTS (reportedly famous in Yukon, Canada right now)
Jwangbaljjang @walkforneko
If you watch the video above, a YouTuber named Jwangbaljjang carries something that looks like a mop handle.
While watching the video, I wondered what that stick was, but after binge-watching his videos in reverse order, I found out.
It is indeed a mop handle, and he calls it his "BTS."
B(Snake) T(Termination) S(Stick).
I've been watching two or three of his videos a day, and he is a truly charming person.
There are a few characteristics when you watch his videos.
He is calm throughout. There is absolutely no overacting, no dopamine-inducing incidents, and no provocative scenes or words/actions. Looking at his command of language, it is clear that he is an educated person.
He always emphasizes safety. His words about how safety regulations are created through someone's sacrifice really resonated with me. When walking at night, he wears ankle glow-in-the-dark bands and even glow sticks. He always walks on the sidewalk, no matter what kind of road it is. Even if the sidewalk is completely crowded, he stays on it. He says that accidents can ruin not only one's own life but also the lives of others. While scratching a mosquito bite on his ankle, he developed a wound, and he cleaned it thoroughly, noting that if not properly cared for, it could lead to cellulitis.
When he camps out, he always cleans up perfectly. So perfectly that you wouldn't even know anyone had been there. He films the cleaned-up spot and says things like, "I had a good rest here today."
He has planned a 4-year trip from Korea to Japan, Alaska, and Argentina with a daily budget of 70,000 KRW. He started this in late summer of last year.
He wears repaired Yonex shorts. Perhaps due to friction from his backpack, the seat area became see-through, so he sews it up and continues to wear them. He showers while wearing his clothes. Then, he applies soap and washes them by stepping on them firmly with his feet.
His black Adidas T-shirt from Korea has turned brown in Canada. He has two identical shirts; he wears one for sleeping and the other for traveling.
His subscriber count went from 20,000 to 60,000 in just one month. So this is what happens when the algorithm picks you up.
He mentioned that all he did before going to Japan was study Japanese for one month, but he is clearly a very intelligent person.
And the part about him being very famous in Yukon is mentioned in the video above. It wasn't something he said himself, but a Canadian man who brought a lot of food to support Jwangbaljjang said it.
