The petrochemical industry was once a representative sector that benefited from the China market boom.
However, as China has succeeded in achieving self-sufficiency through massive investments, our country's petrochemical industry is taking a direct hit.
We should have transitioned to high-value-added products much sooner,
but it feels a bit late as we were intoxicated by the China boom for too long.
From now on, we must devote all our efforts to advanced materials and high-value-added products.
