I can confidently say the early parts were legendary
In the beginning, the protagonists were the late Im Dong-jin as Yang Man-chun
and the late Kim Jin-tae as Yeon Gaesomun, who both carried the show
As it went on, since there was a lack of historical records,
it went a bit overboard like Romance of the Three Kingdoms,
but in terms of pure entertainment, I think it was top-tier. wow
