DLSS 5 is actually insane once you try it

I tested it out on a few games,
and if you adjust the settings properly, it literally feels like a built-in remaster.
It seems like DLSS 5 pairs especially well with realistic-style games like Like a Dragon.
Most of the videos floating around the web seemed to have the settings cranked up excessively
just to make them look weird on purpose.
The most impressive thing for me
was realizing just how important lighting and shading are to a game.
So many games have great character modeling,
but because of the limitations of in-game lighting, those well-made characters end up looking strange.
For example, a character might look incredibly cool in the customization screen,
but once you actually enter the game, they turn into a weird lump of clay polygons lol.
DLSS 5 fixes this precisely.
It strips away the cheap lighting
and captures the lighting and shading based on the color temperature and light direction that fits the background.
As a result, you can experience in-game visuals
that feel similar to what you'd see in a cinematic trailer.
As you can see from the comparison screenshots,
due to the uniquely cheap textures and quality in Like a Dragon, characters often feel
disconnected from the background. But when you turn on DLSS 5, ambient occlusion is applied, and with the addition of skin textures and shading,
the sense of depth and three-dimensionality comes to life.
The result is a sense of unity, making it feel like the character is truly in that space.
However, since this DLSS 5 is a sort of mod made from files leaked from NVIDIA,
I imagine the actual official version will be even better.
