they usually investigate issues with their sex partners, i.e., their wives.
This appears frequently in American TV shows. A doctor will bluntly ask, "How many times a week do you have sex?"
If you have issues resolving your sexual desire, you might as well play DDR.
However, using your pet dog or livestock would be problematic.
