The Conditions for Happiness

Back in middle and high school, I used to long for the economic power and freedom of adults,
pursuing things like famous restaurants, high-quality earphones, smooth-writing pens, and good monitors.
But after living alone in college, I saw a roommate of mine
who would eat anything as long as it wasn't too sweet,
could sleep well anywhere as long as they could lie down,
and lived life so positively that they seemed truly happy.
It made me realize that happiness isn't about possessing everything good,
but about being satisfied with what you have.
Since then, I haven't felt the need to hunt for famous restaurants
or chase after high-spec gear;
I've learned to live while enjoying the moment, so I live happily every day.
Just a random thought that popped into my head before bed.
