Question regarding a second date after a blind date

I went on my very first blind date last week.
After we finished our meal and said goodbye,
I asked for a second date on my way home.
The other person accepted, but
their replies are taking almost a full day to come through.
Could this be an indirect way of rejecting me?
I have absolutely no experience or knowledge in this area...
