A Respectable Man
It is a roundabout way of expressing the desire for hypergamy,
but it specifically focuses on two things: educational background and occupation.
Among the "hexagon" traits, factors like appearance, personal assets, family wealth, personality, or age carry relatively less weight.
For example, a handsome man born with a silver spoon, who graduated from a local university and is now running a cafe, is not considered a "respectable man."
Even if he is wealthy, handsome, and fits the criteria for hypergamy, he does not qualify.
The "respectable man" they are referring to
is about the instinct etched into our genes—that even if someone isn't born into wealth, they become desirable if they are a doctor earning an annual salary of 500 to 700 million won. So, there is no need to criticize them too harshly.
