No alcohol or smoking
No coffee
No flour-based foods
Rarely buy clothes
Commute to work by Brompton bicycle
No shampoo or body wash (use toothpaste, use only soap for hand washing)
Bring eggs instead of meat when packing lunch for work
Self-cut with clippers instead of going to a hair salon, or just grow it long
Have one daughter but no car
Parents live in the next apartment complex and have two cars, so I borrow one
Have become distant from friends since getting married and having kids. See them maybe once a year
Instead, I play outdoor basketball or soccer with high school classmates once a month
Still, I occasionally buy things I want
And I eat what I want quite well
My wife is not quite as extreme as I am, but
She is very frugal, so we are a good match
