Do I really need to take table tennis lessons??

I've been playing table tennis for about a year.
Do I really have to keep taking lessons??
My neighborhood isn't great, so to get lessons,
I'd have to travel quite far just to take
lessons twice a week... and there are so many people
that I don't even dare to play with the machines or others.
If I go to the local table tennis club, I can't get lessons,
but I can go whenever I want to practice or play alone.
Which option do you think is better??
