Why plastic surgery for men is often too obvious and lacks cost-effectiveness

‌For women, even a simple touch-up to the eyes
(epicanthoplasty, lateral canthoplasty, double eyelid surgery, etc.)
can instantly upgrade their appearance by 2 to 3 levels.
Getting double eyelid surgery or minor eye reshaping
isn't even considered major plastic surgery these days;
it's treated as a light procedure.
But even with just that, their image changes drastically,
leading to massive transformations.
Conversely, for men, monolid eyes are the trend,
and at most, soft hidden double eyelids are popular,
making it hard to gain much from eye surgery.
(Though ptosis correction can be beneficial).
So, what about men? For most, it's the nose.
Raising the nose is the most effective way to upgrade one's looks.
However, procedures like rhinoplasty or orthognathic surgery
are major operations, no matter how popularized plastic surgery becomes.
Even among women, only a minority undergo such procedures,
and nose surgery is very noticeable.
This is why, for men, it is difficult to improve one's appearance
without undergoing major surgery; it costs a lot and is very obvious,
making the cost-effectiveness of plastic surgery much lower compared to women.
Instead, they focus on social status, wealth,
and externally on fitness and hairstyles.
