South Korea's future looks like a Robot Republic

An AI Robot Industry Promotion Committee must be established directly under the President.
Thirty years ago, the government's decision to take the lead in installing high-speed internet was a masterstroke that allowed us to surpass Japan in digital innovation.
Thanks to that, even though our industrialization was 80 years behind Japan, we achieved the historic feat of overtaking them in information technology.
Now, robots are the future.
While we lead in the practical application of robots in industrial sites, we are lagging behind in high-end technology.
The government must take the lead.
Instead of providing piecemeal support, a comprehensive strategy must be established to provide powerful assistance.
The government must step up and lead the way.
We must create the most robot-friendly society in the world.
If we fall behind in the AI robot industry, we might once again fall below Japan and China.
This is not the time to be intoxicated by the illusion of the semiconductor boom.
