'Autumn Man' Yamamoto delivers 7 innings and 10K... Dodgers one win away from NLCS

‌Last season's 'World Series MVP' Yoshinobu Yamamoto (27, LA Dodgers) delivered a dazzling performance from the very first game of this year's postseason.
On the 6th (local time), in the third game of the 2026 Major League National League Division Series (NLDS, best-of-five) against Atlanta at Truist Park in Atlanta, Georgia, Yamamoto made his postseason starting appearance. He led the way to a 3-1 victory, pitching a masterful 7 innings with only 1 run allowed. Over 98 pitches, he surrendered just 4 hits and 1 walk while racking up 10 strikeouts. Leading the series 2 wins to 1, the Dodgers need only one more win in the remaining two games to advance to the NLCS for the third consecutive year.
