It's quite surprising that this is Japan's third time hosting the Nagoya Asian Games

Lately, people are questioning who even hosts the Asian Games anymore, but until the 2010s, it seemed to be a fairly significant sporting event.
Watching the opening ceremony, I was personally quite surprised to hear that this is the third time they have hosted.

It's interesting to think that before Nagoya, they were ranked 4th after Thailand, South Korea, and China, putting them on the same level as India and Indonesia.
