even after grinding away so much time at a company,
most people live hand-to-mouth without ever truly being connected to wealth.
They can't provide much support to their children, and they spend their own later years
obsessing over money their whole lives. That is the saddest part.
In the end, the only thing a company can really do for a hardworking employee
is offer a quick promotion, but even that is limited
by the company's specific salary table,
