Public execution in North Korea for being wealthy

In communist North Korea, business and private trading are illegal,
and only those specifically recognized by the state are allowed to trade.
A couple in their 50s, who earned a large sum of money through a business
authorized by the North Korean government,
were publicly shot in front of village residents
on the grounds that their attitude became insolent after they became wealthy.
The couple's assets were confiscated by the state.
