Isn't it amazing that South Korea didn't become communist in the 40s?

It was an ideology that practiced, for the first time in human history, that all humans are equal.
How could they not believe in that?
If the US hadn't poured resources in, I don't think Syngman Rhee would have lasted more than a few years.
It probably would have been over even before the Korean War.
