Two Bangladeshi soldiers killed in Chinese-made tank explosion

According to an MBN report on the 10th, the accident occurred during an army tank firing drill at the Hathazari shooting range in Chittagong, Bangladesh, on the 9th local time.
Released footage shows the tank preparing to fire a shell and aiming, followed by a massive internal explosion immediately upon firing. The impact of the explosion was so intense that a machine gunner was seen being thrown into the air.
Two soldiers on board the tank were killed in the accident, and one officer was seriously injured. The injured officer was airlifted by helicopter to a military hospital in the capital, Dhaka.
Local media reported that the tank involved in the accident is a Chinese-made Type 59 series. The Type 59 is a tank developed by China based on the former Soviet T-54 and has been in production since the late 1950s. It is known that the Bangladesh Army operates an upgraded version of this series.
The Type 59 series is also widely known as the tank that appeared in front of the so-called 'Tank Man' during the 1989 Tiananmen Square protests in China.
However, the exact cause of the explosion has not yet been determined. The Bangladesh Army is currently investigating the cause of the accident.
