I notice that men in their 50s and 60s generally have great forearms

Even when they don't seem to take much care of their overall physique, I often see that their forearms are well-developed and their hands are sturdy.
Perhaps it's because they lived through an era of three-year military service, moving heavy objects, and performing a lot of manual labor.
