If a man lives to about 75, he has enjoyed his full life span

‌People say we are in the era of the 100-year life
and that it's too early or a waste if a man dies at 80.
Some people talk nonsense like that,
but in reality, the male life expectancy is around 75-80 years (many men pass away at this age).
In truth, due to various accidents and illnesses, even living until 75 is not easy.
Whenever I bring this up, people say things like, "I know an elderly man in his 90s."
But that is a very exceptional case.
I met a 78-year-old gentleman at the hospital,
and he said 70-80% of his male peers had already passed away.
He said he only has one or two friends left and that it feels lonely.
Just like Jeon Yoo-seong,
living until about 75 doing everything you want to do
and then passing on is also a good life.
In fact, there are many people who die even earlier than 75.
Just recently, I attended the funeral of an acquaintance born in '68.
While it is different for women,
for men, I think it is more accurate to view life
as being lived until the mid-to-late 70s.
