Identifying the habits of smokers

Just as animals choose a specific spot to relieve themselves,
once they find a suitable location within their daily routine, they go there to smoke every single day.
They pay no heed to "No Smoking" signs and instead identify smoking areas by looking at cigarette butts on the ground.
However, in places where trash cans are provided and managed by kind residents, they do cooperate somewhat as educated human beings.
These two photos were taken in almost the exact same location and serve as evidence for the habits mentioned above.
