A friend just called me saying they hit someone while driving

‌They said they were finishing up at their shop in Yeouido, and while turning right from an alley toward the main road, they ran over someone who was passed out on the main road after drinking.
They said they got out immediately, called an ambulance and the police, and performed CPR, but talking to them now, they are in a complete state of mental breakdown, so I am very worried. It wasn't a DUI; they just told me they are heading to the police station now and will contact me later.
Goodness, what is happening in the middle of the night?
