The hardest time during my exam prep days was during the holidays

‌Back then, I was in my early 20s,
so even though I could have just gone home,
for some reason, it felt difficult.
I remember staying in the Sillim-dong exam village instead of going home for the holidays.
I remember being in the Sillim-dong study rooms during the holidays, feeling lonely alongside the older students in their 30s who were studying with me.
(Most of them have become lawyers now)
I imagine many people preparing for civil service exams in Noryangjin had similar experiences.
Whenever the holidays approach, I always think back to those times.
