Are Japanese men unattractive?

While watching "Bad Romance," I noticed the men's visuals aren't particularly handsome.
That show is probably the Japanese equivalent of our "Single's Inferno," but "Single's Inferno" is a program where people who meet Korean standards of handsomeness participate.
Is the standard of beauty different in Japan?
