Has there even been anyone in the 21st century who has managed a single team for over 10 years?
Kim Kyung-moon and Kim Tae-hyung's tenure at Doosan was 8 years, and I can't recall any other cases.
Personally, I believe the standard for a "great manager" can be applied once they have won at least two championships.
KT fans might have had grievances over the years regarding his insistence on veterans or pitcher overuse,
but more than anything, I personally highly value his "loyalty pay" (loyalty to his people);
there are always so many heartwarming stories from the players he has worked with.
He seems like a manager who communicates very well with his players.
As for whether winning the combined championship this year
will be a smooth process, I'm not quite sure.
