I think my salary was set incorrectly when I joined the company...
I was conducting interviews for new recruits this time
And I noticed there isn't much difference between them and me, even though I'm in my 4th year in this industry
(Furthermore, I have a university degree while the interviewee has an associate degree)
When I was interviewed, the General Affairs Manager told me that since my previous salary was relatively high, my pay would be frozen, and we would renegotiate next year
But looking at it now, it really seems like the General Affairs Manager lowballed me
I heard that the maximum they could offer the current interviewee was 40 million KRW, but since the new recruit wanted 37 million KRW, they just told them to sign at 37 million
The interviewee ended up accepting another offer and didn't join us, though..
It's so frustrating to find out something I didn't need to know
It makes me feel like a fool for having signed that contract...
I wonder if I should bring this up during negotiations next year
