The Soviet Union was quite impressive

To be honest, looking at what Russia is doing now, I can't help but wonder if the Cold War—where the Soviet Union and the US split the world in two—was actually caused by the CIA either messing around or overestimating the Soviet Union just to secure more budget.
(In fact, if it weren't for nuclear weapons, the Soviet Union would have probably been crushed by the US a long time ago).
But looking at their architectural styles or military uniforms, there is a certain charm that really draws people in.
For kids like me who grew up seeing it, or for those in their adolescence, it looked truly incredible.
Still, during the era when the Soviet Union was functioning, the rationing system alone allowed people to live at a middle-income level for that time, so that was quite impressive as well.
