Things might get complicated once the Russia-Ukraine war ends

We will be trading with Russia again,
which could make arms deals with Northern Europe—who are currently preparing for war—more difficult.
Additionally, Zelenskyy of Ukraine, with whom relations are already strained, will likely voice even stronger protests.
While trading with Russia seems like it would yield greater profits, I also think it might be better to wait until the war ends during Trump's term, when relations with Russia are stable, and then quietly resume trade with Russia when Trump speaks of having a good relationship with them.
