Why Eastern European countries (excluding Russia) have good public safety
I've heard it's partly because there are many skilled fighters, so people tend to be cautious of one another.
In reality, many Eastern European countries (such as Poland, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Romania, Serbia, etc.) have a different kind of safety compared to the developed, safe nations of Western Europe; there is a pervasive social atmosphere of "don't mess with the wrong person on the street," characterized by a fierce temperament and intimidating machismo.
Because of the unique Eastern European culture of rough football hooliganism, the widespread infrastructure for combat sports (boxing, MMA), and a fiery temperament where people might throw a punch before even calling the police, there is an actual sense of tension that prevents even potential criminals from easily targeting anyone.
