At some point, my illusions about cars seem to have completely shattered

Ten years ago, back in the 2010s, when I saw young Mercedes or BMW owners, I used to think, "They must be wealthy."
But at some point, that perception completely vanished.
It's truly interesting how perceptions change.
These days, unless it's an S-Class or a 7 Series, people are often viewed as "car poor"...
I wonder if this is also due to the influence of real estate prices?
