Labor flexibility is needed, but the reality in Korea is pushing for retirement age extensions.

Korea claims there is a labor shortage, that it's a loss to force experts into retirement just because they are older, and that people in their 50s and 60s these days are different from previous generations.
Yet, what they offer as if it were a generous favor is the "retirement age extension type" wage peak system.
If you watch TV or YouTube, they cycle through these same arguments.
The group born in the 70s, primarily those in their late 60s to early 80s, are the so-called "Young Forty" crowd, and they are truly going too far.
They don't care at all about youth unemployment or anything of that sort.
Instead, the reality in Korea is that they just mock the younger generation, asking why kids these days won't go to factories, won't do manual labor, won't work at Coupang, and why they are part of the "resting youth" demographic.
