The Bank of Korea doesn't seem to do much, but isn't the Governor's status quite high?

To be honest, the Bank of Korea doesn't seem to do much compared to the Ministry of Economy and Finance, let alone the Financial Services Commission or the National Tax Service.
But for some reason, the personal status of the BOK Governor
feels on par with the Minister of Economy and Finance.
Their standing seems quite high.
