It has been revealed that the profession with the highest average annual salary in Japan is aircraft pilots, not doctors or university professors. On the 29th, the Japanese media outlet Toyo Keizai reported the results of an analysis of estimated annual salaries for 143 occupations based on the '2025 Basic Survey on Wage Structure' released by Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. The survey targeted general workers in workplaces with 10 or more employees who received wages in June 2025.
