I wonder how much Hyundai/Kia cut costs on this paint job...

Seriously, what is up with this paint thickness? I bought an EV5 four months ago, and I just got a door ding. The metal plate is fine, but the paint just chipped off. It's hard to even find a metaphor, but it feels like they put so much effort into making the paint as thin as possible, almost like it's just smeared on. People in the forums say the paint even flies off during car washes, but compared to the old GC Coupé, this is just absurd. I'm not planning to drive this car forever, but I guess I'll have to go buy some touch-up paint. T_T
