I use an e-reader on the subway.

I have been reading things like text-based books for a very long time.
Back then, I read them on feature phones and PDAs quite well.
Then, I naturally switched to smartphones.
Because I can carry them and take them out anytime.
With something like a Galaxy Note, unless it's a comic book, using apps like Millie's Library, RidiBooks, or library apps is quite good.
Then one day, while sitting on a subway that wasn't crowded, I was looking at an e-book on my Note with my head down.
As I leaned my head back and naturally lifted the Note in my hand,
my eyes met directly with a young woman sitting opposite me.
And she gave me a somewhat wary, suspicious look.
I was confused and flustered, wondering what was wrong...
Then, the smartphone camera lens suddenly came to mind.
Nowadays, 99% of male and female passengers are staring into their smartphones, so people probably just accept it,
but at that time, it was the transitional period between feature phones and smartphones, so I thought it might be a bit ambiguous.
Unlike the small camera lenses on feature phones, there were two or three large smartphone camera lenses, haha.
Maybe it's because I'm timid, but since then, I've been constantly pointing the camera lenses toward the floor to signal to those around me (haha).
After that, I bought a 6-inch e-reader,
and now whether I'm standing or sitting, I read comfortably while stretching in all directions.
I have a Fold too, but an e-reader is definitely easier on the eyes.
Now I have 6-inch, 7-inch, and 8-inch models, and I carry whichever one I need.
I occasionally watch YouTube videos about tablets and e-readers,
and when I see women strongly recommending bar-type e-readers that look like smartphones because they are lightweight, I feel envious.
I'm too scared of the camera to use them like that. It's a bit bittersweet, haha.
