The moment I felt respect for Seo Jang-hoon

1994 Hamilton World Championships in Canada
A summary video of this match is on Cho Hyun-il's YouTube channel.
Korea truly won everything against Australia.
Australia is a team on a different level,
having produced countless NBA players,
but the reason this match was so close
is because Seo Jang-hoon didn't back down even an inch
against the Australian white centers.
The day after the Australia game, they played back-to-back
and lost to Croatia by a double score,
but it was the first and last time
I saw a Korean playing center at a world-class level
like that.
After a neck injury in January '95, Seo Jang-hoon
was no longer the same Seo Jang-hoon from the '94 World Championships.
Since then, whenever Seo Jang-hoon's games come on TV,
I change the channel. It's too embarrassing.
It is painful to watch an athlete lose most of their
peak ability in their early 20s.
