Today's news on the expanding backlash against data centers across the US

The problem with this is
While construction provides some benefits to temporary laborers or wiring companies,
there is no significant job creation for management afterward.
Then there is the environmental destruction, water shortages, and inability to recycle.
Electricity rates skyrocket, and electronic interference occurs in the surrounding areas.
But if a breakdown occurs in a place that can be managed, they can rush there immediately,
which means those places are close to where people live.
The right answer would be to build them in remote parts of Africa by offering some money, but then they wouldn't be manageable lol
